Faith-building Sci-fi Fantasy Stories

The Darlene N. Böcek Book Community

Hey friend,

Now that the 2025 Kickstarter is over, I wanted to let you know what, Lord willing, 2026 holds in store on our Community site.

This world is going dystopian. No doubt about it.

Normal people have to figure out how to live in this chaotic world. We want CLEAN READS and UPBUILDING FICTION to help entertain and encourage us on this journey. We want to stay true to our faith as we enjoy our lives.

The ScrollKeepers Community is meant to help do that.

Last email I shared how I’m going off social media for good. I’ve been working on something really great for our reading community.

We have many upgrades to our community for 2026 and will be integrating these into our community building.

1) Good books are hard to find. One prime purpose of our community is directing readers to good books. You’ll have a community behind you to help you find your next GOOD read.

2) Around the Hearth Share your pictures and videos with one another

3) Meet-ups. Live meetings with me, author Darlene N. Böcek, to get to know me, the books, deeper themes and secrets about the books–as well as interviews with other authors of faith-building fiction… all on the horizon for 2026.

4) First Access Trailblazer readers have access to beta reads and ARC books. This is the place to be if you want to contribute to the excellence of Clean and Christian fiction.

5) Author Showcases I have special features where other select authors can highlight and feature their work, so you can meet other Christian authors and embrace their stories as well.

6) Prayer As a sensitive topic, we will have prayer groups for us to encourage one another in this challenging world we live in.

The Wayfinder level is free for everyone until January 1. Plus, Founding Member status/badge for anyone who joins before the new year.

As a 2026 orientation for this ScrollKeeper Community, I have a new SCAVENGER HUNT PLUS GIVEAWAY. Sign up for the community to find out more!

(Even if you were part of the scavenger hunt last year–make sure to join this year. There are some fun additions to the community as of this week! And I’m still in search of more Christmas tree/home decoration pictures–upload directly to the site).

Until next time,

Darlene

From the Desk of Darlene N. Böcek Faith-building Sci-fi Fantasy Stories Dear Reader, I hope this finds you well. A quick note today. Firstly– Thought to ponder– “Nearness to God is happiness.” Charles Spurgeon I love this quote. At church we have a new song (about the same thing) which we’ve been singing that I can’t get out of my head. My husband just translated it into Turkish from Russian. Surprisingly this song isn’t in English. Essentially, the lyrics are:Let the Whole Earth Proclaim…

From the Desk of Darlene N. Böcek Faith-building Sci-fi Fantasy Stories Dear friend, OUR Return to Me series REVISIONS are moving forward. Thanks for being here and for anticipating these stories which will delight and challenge your soul. If you haven’t read The Last Noel, make sure to absorb that story (again) before getting your hands on Vera’s story (Me, Myself, and IT). Vera’s perspective changes everything you know about Reuben’s story. LINK (free on KU) Trunk of Scrolls News Look at…

From the Desk of Darlene N. Böcek Faith-building Sci-fi Fantasy Stories Dear friend, Just a quick message this week. I hope you are well. I’m neck-deep in revisions for Me, Myself, and IT. Pray for me. This week I experienced a cool interconnection of real life and fiction when my husband introduced a new song to the church congregation. Kyrie Eleison. It’s so beautiful! I will record it and share it in the upcoming weeks. If you don’t know, the phrase means, Lord have mercy in Greek. The…
