As you probably know, over the past years, I’ve been working on a sci-fi fantasy dystopia series. It has gone through many series name morphs.
Initially: Pogland Series
Then: Umbraland Series
Then: Immortals Series
It’s not just the series title that has gone through morphs.
I have made dozens of cover mockups for the story and the manuscript has gone through just as many revisions. The story is EPIC. And it’s been a huge project that I want to make exactly right.
THE BIG NEWS
Finally, I found the perfect series title that reflects the HEART of the dystopia best….
Today I want to introduce you to both the SERIES NAME, Book One’s title, and the LAUNCH PAGE.
I’D LIKE TO INTRODUCE TO YOU:
CROSSFALL: The Remnant Rises
This cover is actually a temporary placeholder. We’ll be having a cover reveal soon–I’m waiting for the cover artist to finish making the CrossFall Book 1 cover right now.
Here’s more about the book:
In a world where immortality is possible, but at a deadly cost, a forest girl must fight for survival against nature, man, and beast. But as she evades the monster-men hunting her, she begins to uncover secrets about the immortality that everyone craves – secrets that threaten everything she thinks is true.

From the Desk of Darlene N. Böcek Faith-building Sci-fi Fantasy Stories Hi again Reader! I’m not sure why, but I have trouble using the word “The End” at the end of a story. First of all, it should be clear that the story is over, right? The last lines of a book should already reflect an ending without those two words. But when I write a story, the character and I form a bond. Maybe the reason I have trouble ending a book with “The End” is that for me neither they nor their story is truly…
From the Desk of Darlene N. Böcek Faith-building Sci-fi Fantasy Stories Greetings Reader! We’ve been in the midst of a torrent of rain here in Izmir–great for the olive trees, apricot trees, and grapevines, but terrible for the dogs. This is the second greatest rainfall in 88 years of recorded measurement. I calculated the other day to learn that there has been a total of about 1.5 Olympic-sized swimming pools full of water dumped on our farm since the beginning of the year. Wet and rainy,…
