I am in the midst of finalizing the book cover for the CrossFall series.
I love the work my designer has done and can’t wait to share it with you (within the next couple weeks!) But it’s nerve wracking as I am trying to perfect it.
As a post-apocalyptic story with fantasy elements, CrossFall: The Remnant Rises is an epic adventure series that has taken years to encapsulate into the first story. So the cover needs to reflect not only Book 1 but the feeling of both HOPE and DANGER. I think we’ve hit that goal!
I hope you’ll love the cover as much as I do.

Now that the new year of 2026 is here, I wanted to encourage you to join the community. Membership is free: Win a Trailblazer Membership (for you or a friend) and an awesome feather pen, ink, and scrolls just for checking out the community.
The goal of the community is to share faith-building encouragement to one another in a safe, clean, and private community.
Another reason to join–we’ll be doing another Choose-Your-Adventure Mystery Story (like we did with Tim Reynolds, Detective: The Death of Noah Black) in our book club in the very near future. Only members of the community can participate.
(From one of the posts on our community)
I hope you have a fantastic week.
God bless you!

⬇This is a book by a friend of mine, Kathy Brasby! ⬇
ESCAPE by Kathy Brasby | Impossible isn’t what it seems When rival superpowers unleash a catastrophic chemical weapon, Micah’s small town is swallowed by a creeping cloud of death. As Micah, his parents, and the last survivors flee toward the mountains, they discover a mysterious scientist who has already built a hidden refuge for the coming collapse. But the sanctuary is not what it seems. And neither is the man who controls it.
For Liberty and Conscience Kickstarter–this is a campaign of an author friend of mine, Jayna. I backed this one the second I was done watching the amazing video. Very encouraging stories and interesting story world!

From the Desk of Darlene N. Böcek 🔥 Faith-Forged Fantastical Fiction 🔥 How’s Your Heart, Reader? When I was a young adult, newly married, newly teaching, new to everything really, the pastor’s wife of our new church asked me one day: “How’s your heart?” and I found it a very interesting BUT prying 👀 question. But as I’ve matured, I have come see it as a question that we SHOULD ask ourselves. Instead of “How are you doing?” we should ask: “How’s your heart?” In this newsletter I surely don’t…
