I am almost done with Acadia. I’m not a military sci-fi fan whatsoever.
But I started listening to this FREE AUDIOBOOK by Sterling Nixon, and was sucked into the story world.
It takes place in a futuristic American dystopia where the people have become warriors like Trojans and they are fighting off an assault of ‘roaches,’ which are a kind of alien insect species that has invaded earth. (I’ll never look at a beetle the same way again).
The narrator is bar none: Euon Morton, a Broadway star, brings an engaging level of excellence and professional drama to his performance. The story is keeping me up late into the night.

The story is so clever, the world so enthralling, and the words so lyrical–I am sad that the story will almost be over (1 hour and 11 minutes left). My favorite thing is how lovely the words go together. Powerful and poetic.
