We live in a crazy world.
With recent news releases about islands of horrific secrecy, we scratch our heads and boggle over the wickedness of man. How can people be like this?
Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37)
When we read about the violence and wickedness and oppressors hurting the weak...we flip back to Noah’s story and see,
“The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.” (Genesis 6:5)
Then we look at the news again, do a little comparison, and wag our heads again. Jesus will be coming soon. Wrong WILL be made right!
“The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.” Genesis 6:6
Violence is never the answer. There must be a higher way, a better way.
In Trunk of Scrolls, there is violence.
- There are enemies who do wicked things (see tomorrow’s post),
- there are fists raised to the weak and powerless,
- there are fists raised against the strong and pitiless
- there are fists raised against friends
- and even worse, there are fists raised against God.
